Now that we tackled “Biology of Belief“ in a previous post, let’s discuss Gregg Braden’s “The Spontaneous Healing of Belief.”
To start, Gregg Braden confirms that our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs help to change the world around us. He takes this a step further and refers to this life as an interactive reality.
Can you imagine how much control you have over your life experiences?
Although you and I are not the only ones creating, we may occasionally be subjected to circumstances. But even these circumstances are drawn in by the choices we make based on what we believe.
Belief Codes
One of many interesting things throughout “The Spontaneous Healing of Belief,” is the belief codes. These are little nuggets of wisdom that have helped me along my healing journey. For example, he says that we live our lives based on what we believe about our capabilities and our limits. At a time when I felt there was nothing I could do about my physical condition, I was able to change that limiting belief because of that simple statement.
One belief code builds upon another.
To illustrate, if you take a close look at nature, you will see that it is built on patterns that are similar. These patterns can be seen in everything from elements to rocks, trees, and even humans.
He says that to understand this on a small scale provides insight into forms on a larger scale.
Our beliefs create patterns in reality.
How did I miss this for most of my life?
You don’t know what you don’t know.
Computer versus The Universe
Gregg Braden says there are many similarities in the patterns (or fractals) of the way a computer operates and the Universe.
The operating system of a computer doesn’t change (i.e. Mac OS) and is the link between the input of the computer and it’s electronics. Consciousness is the operating system of the Universe and links our input with what we see or experience.
The programs we install on computers are designed to create things or complete tasks, such as Photoshop. These programs or applications can be changed. Similarly, our beliefs can help us create things or complete tasks, programming our reality.
Pretty amazing analogy.
He goes on to say that our beliefs affect patterns of energy. So, if everything is energy, doesn’t this give us the power to heal ourselves as well?
I would love to hear what others think about this, comment below! And thank you for reading!
